    Volvo Trucks launches new safety systems

    Aiming to increase the safety of cyclists and pedestrians, and also facilitate the drivers’ work, Volvo Trucks is now introducing a range of new safety systems for its vehicles.

  • Last year, the number of heavy electric trucks on the roads in Europe and the United States grew faster than ever before. Volvo Trucks have now sold more than 4 300 electric trucks globally in more than 38 countries. In Europe, Volvo Trucks is the market leader with a 32% share of the market for heavy electric trucks, and in North America, nearly half of all heavy electric trucks registered in 2022 were Volvo trucks.

  • Volvo Trucks has supplied CEMEX with its first fully electric and zero exhaust emission heavy-duty concrete mixer truck. The battery electric truck is the latest development of an agreement signed between Volvo and CEMEX in 2021, on global collaboration in electromobility solutions to achieve reduced carbon emissions and improved productivity.

  • 2022 was a record year for Volvo Trucks. The company delivered an all-time high number of its trucks to customers and also increased its market share in 41 countries.

With increased front axle loads of up to 20 tonnes and a 38-tonne bogie, it is built for the most demanding assignments even on very rough terrain. The new Volvo FMX is designed for future electric drivelines and certified for the use of HVO, a fossil-free alternative to diesel.

  • Volvo Trucks’ latest launch film has reached new heights. To demonstrate the power and strength of its four new vehicles, Volvo built a colossal 15-metre, 58-tonne truck tower, stacking its four new trucks on top of one another. Adding to that, they stood president Roger Alm on top.

  • At an exclusive event at the TEC Equipment dealership in Fontana, California, Volvo Trucks offered a first look at its North American Class 8 battery-electric project trucks. In Europe, Volvo Trucks recently started sales of electric trucks for urban transports and demonstrated electric concept trucks for construction operations and regional distribution. By utilizing existing electromobility technology within the Volvo Group, Volvo Trucks in North America has been able to integrate those technologies into the existing North American VNR model.

  • Volvo Trucks Indonesia together with Volvo Construction Equipment jointly showcased the design and performance excellence of the Volvo product range at the 19th Mining Indonesia (Sept 18 to 21) at Jakarta International Expo in Kemayoran Indonesia. Under the theme “Driving prosperity in Indonesia", the main highlight of the event included celebration of Volvo FH and introducing Volvo Dynamic Steering.
